Powers of Attorney nominate a person or persons who can manage your lifetime affairs and make decisions on your behalf. Powers of Attorney can be particularly useful in the event of mental or physical incapacity caused by factors such as accident, old age or illness.
Oriel Law advises on Powers of Attorney to include advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney for Financial Decisions and Health & Welfare. We advise on the creation of LPAs including the choice and number of attorneys and recommended restrictions and express powers to ensure that your choices are implemented and your wishes carried out if you do not have the necessary capacity to handle your arrangements on your own.
At Oriel Law we draft and register Lasting Powers of Attorney and will subsequently provide the attorneys with guidance and support if they need to act on their authority. We also advise on Lasting Powers of Attorney that are limited in scope or for a particular purpose e.g. business decisions.
